Avery Antonio Bradley Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.

Avery Bradley played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns before being drafted 19th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA draft. Avery Bradley found the Texas Longhorns basketball program appealing in part because he had spent parts of his childhood in Arlington, where he became a fan of T. J. Ford.

As a freshman in 2009–10, Avery Bradley averaged 11.6 points for the Longhorns and established himself as one of the top defensive guards in the country. Avery Bradley subsequently earned Big 12 All-Rookie Team and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors.

In April 2010, Avery Bradley declared for the NBA draft, forgoing his final three years of college eligibility.
