Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor who has starred in numerous film and musical roles. He rose to international prominence as heroin addict Mark Renton in the drama films Trainspotting (1996) and T2 Trainspotting (1997). McGregor has been involved in charity work since 2004, serving as an ambassador for UNICEF UK. He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2013 for his contributions to drama and charity.
