G Herbo began his rapping career with his friend Lil Bibby. They rose to prominence with the song “Kill Shit,” which has been viewed over 50 million times on YouTube. Lil Herb and Lil Bibby gained notoriety in the hip-hop community after Canadian rapper Drake referred to them as “the future.”

Welcome to Fazoland, Herbo’s first mixtape was released on February 17, 2014. The mixtape is named after Fazon Robinson, one of Herbo’s friends who was killed by gun violence in Chicago. Herbo’s surprise mixtape Pistol P Project, his second project of 2014, was released on December 26, 2014.

Herbo appeared alongside fellow Chicago rappers King Louie and Lil Bibby on Chief Keef’s “Faneto (Remix)” on April 2, 2015. Humble Beas, Herbo’s debut album, was released on April 4, 2016.

On March 16, 2018, Herbo performed a freestyle to the beat of the song “Who Run It” on Dallas, Texas radio station K104. The full remix was released on all music platforms six days later. The freestyle drew so much attention that rapper Lil Uzi Vert eventually included it on his own remix of “Who Run It.”

Throughout the year, he released two more singles, “Focused” and “Swervo.” Herbo released Swervo on July 27, 2018, with features from rappers 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Young Thug, and Juice Wrld.
