Tur joined NBC’s local station in New York City, WNBC-TV, in 2009 and quickly moved up the ranks to become the national network’s flagship NBC News. She received the Associated Press’ Best Spot News Award that year for her coverage of the Upper East Side crane collapse in March 2008. She reported on the death of Cory Monteith, a motorbike attack on an SUV, and the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 while at NBC News.
