Now, Lindsey Partridge, 22, of Nashua, New Hampshire, died after being swept overboard by a 23-foot in Boca Raton. Jacob Smith, 24, her boyfriend, managed to stay on board and attempted to maneuver the boat to save her. She worked as a successful sales consultant for Toyota of Nashua in New Hampshire before being hired to work in sales for Gucci in New York City. Her parents are Donald Partridge, her father, and Jessica Partridge, her mother. She was the middle child of her parents.  Chelsea is her sister. Lindsey lives in Massachusetts with her family. Partridge was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, Boca News Now reported.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the family at this difficult time. With a stated target of $20,000, it has raised approximately $20,500 as of 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

“She worked really hard and was successful in everything she did,” her dad Donald Partridge said. “She was fearless and definitely a spitfire. She made everyone feel loved.

“She could’ve just met you, but she made you feel like you’ve been friends for 30 years.”

‘He turned the boat around and couldn’t get to her as fast as he wanted so he jumped in afterward and swam her to shore and she hit her head. She had a fatal injury in the back of her head,’ the tearful mom told the news channel.

A 22-year-old New Hampshire woman died after being tossed from a boat in Florida while on vacation. In Sunday, Lindsay Partridge was on a boat approximately 150 yards off the coast of Boca Raton when a wave hit the 23-foot vessel, according to her father, Donald Partridge of Groton, Massachusetts. Donald Partridge said that her boyfriend attempted to contact her. According to the television station, he got in and swam her to shore. Partridge was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to Boca News Now. According to the news source, a small craft advisory was in effect at the time of the incident.

Lindsey Partridge’s boyfriend, Jacob Smith, was there at the time of the event. The couple had gone to Florida for a vacation last week to get away from the cold, snowy winter in New England, but their trip ended in tragedy. According to her father, Donald Partridge, the couple was barely 150 yards offshore at the Boca Raton Beach Club when a 23-foot wave broke over the boat, sweeping Partridge overboard.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which is investigating the fatality, Smith attempted to navigate the boat back to pick up his girlfriend but was unable.

The incident is being investigated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Division of Law Enforcement. In a statement and a preliminary incident report, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission verified the death of Lindsey F. Partridge, of Nashua.

“The FWC sends sincere condolences to Ms. Partridge’s family and friends during this tragic time,” the statement said.

“(The Open Motorboat) was traveling offshore approximately one quarter mile northeast of the Boca Inlet and 150 yards off-shore with two occupants on board. While the vessel was traveling north, a wave washed over the vessel,” The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told BocaNewsNow in a statement on Tuesday. 

“The victim (Lindsey Partridge) fell overboard and the occupant (Jacob Smith) attempted to maneuver the vessel to pick her up,” the statement continued. “The victim was brought to shore by the lifeguards at Boca Beach Club and was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.”

Friends and family paid tribute to Lindsey in the hours after the death

“Any boat smaller than 30 feet shouldn’t be out there and she rented a 23-foot boat,” said Donald Partridge. “It’s not her first time. She’s familiar with boats, she knows boats a little bit, but they went out and a big wave hit him and I guess she was thrown from the boat,” said her dad Donald Partridge.

“We’re crying a lot over crying in huddles,” said her mom Jessie Partridge. “She had such a full life I mean she golfed and she hiked.”

“She was my best friend,” said her sister Chelsea.

Partridge was with her boyfriend who the family says tried saving her.
