Creamer won a total of 11 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) competitions throughout his amateur career. Creamer joined the LPGA Tour in 2005 and won the Sybase Classic that year, making her the LPGA’s second-youngest tournament winner.
Creamer began playing golf at the age of ten after participating in acrobatic dancing and gymnastics as a child. She won 13 consecutive regional junior competitions in northern California at the age of 12 and was the top-ranked female junior golfer in the state the following year, before moving to Bradenton, Florida in 2000 and enrolling at IMG Pendleton School, a co-educational prep school for athletes.
She was 3–1 in her third Solheim Cup, as the United States won the competition for the third time. Creamer finished 10th on the LPGA money list in 2009, earning more than $1.1 million. Her best results of the season were a pair of second-place finishes at the LPGA Corning Classic and the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.
Creamer withdrew from the first event of the 2010 season due to a left thumb injury suffered in June 2009 at the Wegmans LPGA tournament. Her best finish of the season came in the final event of the season, the Buick LPGA Shanghai, where she finished 12th.
