Corey Woods, popularly known by his stage name, Raekwon, is an American rapper and core member of the Wu-Tang Clan, a revolutionary rap group from New York City’s Staten Island borough. He released his solo debut album in August 1995 titled, “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx”, which was rich in Mafioso imagery.
While his next two albums, Immobility in 1999 and The Lex Diamond Story in 2003, received mixed reviews, his long-awaited fourth album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II, as compared to The Godfather 2. Raekwon is a renowned rapper who is known for his “street epics” that are “straightforward yet linguistically sophisticated.” Meanwhile, he established the ICE H2O Records record label.
