Rahul Bajaj is an Indian businessman, philanthropist & Chairman of Bajaj Group of Companies. He first completed his Honours in Economics from Delhi University. After that, he pursued Law from Bombay University. He then went on to complete his MBA from Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

 

After completing his education the first job he got was the major responsibility of CEO of Bajaj Group in 1968. Under his lead, Bajaj Group saw a major turnover in the business and it became a big brand in automobiles. During the recession in early 2001, there was a great decline in the stock market. Also due to the merging of Honda with Hero Group, it got worsened. It was that time Bajaj launched Bajaj Pulsar. After automobiles, Bajaj targeted other markets too. He launched Bajaj Finance Group and Bajaj Home Appliances. He was also into steel and alloy manufacturing.

 

Bajaj became President of the Confederation of Indian Industry in 1979 and then in 1999. He also became President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturer. Bajaj was also the Chairman of the Development Council for Automobiles and Allied Industry. Also from 1986 to 1989, he was the Chairman of Indian Airlines. He was also an executive panel of the Indian School of Business. The Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation Shiksha Mandal was also continued by him. In Pune, he also founded a multi-specialty hospital Ruby Hall Clinic. He had also indulged himself in humanitarian work and spends a large chunk of his time for the upliftment of the poor section of the society.
