Ferguson was the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and earned first-team All-C-USA honors on two separate occasions — while setting school and NCAA sack records.
The linebacker for Ravens played three seasons for Baltimore after the team drafted him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech. The St. Francisville, La., native started nine games as a rookie in 2019 before playing in 24 games as a reserve over the past two seasons.

The organization expresses condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.”

As per NFL, Baltimore Ravens further said in a statement, “It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson. The family asks for your prayers and privacy during this trying time,” Ferguson’s agent Safarrah Lawson.”
In 2019, The athlete was selected as a third-round pick out of Louisiana Tech, played 38 games with the Ravens, including ten starts, and recorded 67 tackles and 4.5 sacks over three seasons.
