Joel Banbury a teacher of DDSB high school has been arrested for luring a volleyball girls in 2016.
Teacher Banbury had been making advancements on his volleyball student. He has been doing this for four years.
Authorities heard of this and reported it to the police in February 2022.
An investigation has it that, Banbury lured the youth from kawartha lakes, in Ontario, when a suspect who is believed to be a trainer working at Coronation Public School in Oshawa showed up.
Joel was the volleyball coach of the school.
Police arrested Joel because of luring to facilitate the commission of Sexual Assault and Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Sexual Interference.
Parents of the victim said their daughter had their suspicions about teacher Joel.
Joel is 44 years and was the vice-principal at Coronation Public School in Oshawa at the time of his arrest. And, it is additionally discovered that he moved into that position in January 2022.
