Sierra Jenkins, a reporter for The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, died on March 20, 2022, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, according to officials, after being shot outside Chicho’s Pizza Backstage.

Three other people were injured in the shooting, which was being investigated by Norfolk police investigators.

Jenkins was caught in the crossfire as she walked out of the bar, according to restaurant manager Rory Schindel.
