Max Scherzer, known officially as Maxwell Scherzer, is an American professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. Max Scherzer is nicknamed “Mad Max” and he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 11th overall pick of the 2006 Amateur MLB Draft.

Max Scherzer is a one-time World Series Champion, three-time Cy Young Awards winner, and an eight-time All-Star. Prior to becoming a free agent, Max Scherzer played in the Major League Baseball for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Why are Max Scherzer’s eyes different colors?

Max Scherzer is affected by a very rare condition called heterochromia iridis that causes different colours in the eyes. Heterochromia iridis does not cause damage to the eyes and it is caused by the distribution and levels of melanin in the irises.

As a result of heterochromia iridis, Max Scherzer’s left iris is brown whiles his right iris is blue.
